Short Bio
A weaver, dyer and basket maker, Barbara has shared her rich knowledge of historical and ethnic textiles and her broad technical experience at SF State University and around the U.S. Barbara’s dyed handwoven wall pieces and plaited or coiled baskets are exhibited internationally. Indigo dyeing is her specialty. Her artwork and writings on textile subjects are frequently published. She is a past board member of the Textile Society of America and the San Francisco Fine Arts Museums’ Textile Arts Council.
